F5 Distributed Cloud

F5 Distributed Cloud Services (XC) is F5’s SaaS platform for delivering and securing applications wherever they run – on-premise, in public clouds or at the edge. Instead of a pair of appliances in each data center, you get a globally distributed fabric: F5-operated Regional Edges handle Internet-facing traffic and security, and lightweight Customer Edge (CE) sites in your own environments connect your applications to that fabric.

The services JustADC designs and operates on Distributed Cloud include:

• Application delivery – HTTP and TCP load balancers, origin pools, health checks, global traffic steering and DNS load balancing across regions, clouds and CE sites.
• Web App & API Protection (WAAP) – App Firewall (WAF) policies, API discovery and schema enforcement, bot defense, layer 7 DDoS mitigation and client-side defense, applied uniformly to every application behind the platform.
• DDoS and DNS – always-on volumetric DDoS mitigation at the Regional Edges, and resilient authoritative DNS with DNS load balancing.
• Multi-Cloud Networking – Network Connect and App Connect to join VPCs, VNets and data centers at layer 3, or expose individual services across sites without flat network peering.
• Observability – per-application request logs, security events, synthetic monitoring and service-level dashboards in a single console.
