The F5 platform is fully programmable, and the estates that run best treat it that way: configuration in a repository, applied by pipelines, verified by tests. We build that capability around the tools you already run rather than asking you to adopt new ones.

The toolchain

• AS3 – declarative application services per tenant: the unit of change for pipelines and the format Container Ingress Services understands, with F5’s new integrated declarative API (alpha in BIG-IP 21.1) as its eventual successor.
• Declarative Onboarding – device-level configuration (networking, high availability, licensing, system settings) as code.
• FAST templates – parameterised AS3 for the application patterns your teams deploy repeatedly.
• Telemetry Streaming and Cloud Failover Extension – observability and cloud high availability as part of the same declarations.
• Terraform and Ansible – the F5 provider and collections wrapping all of the above, in the pipelines you already use for the rest of your infrastructure.
• BIG-IQ – central visibility, licensing and policy management where a control plane is the right answer.

Typical engagements

• Converting a hand-built estate to AS3 with Declarative Onboarding – safely, one tenant at a time.
• Self-service application onboarding: a form or a pull request becomes a virtual server with the right monitors, TLS and WAF policy.
• CI/CD pipelines with linting, dry runs against a lab tenant, and drift detection between the repository and the devices.
• Reporting and audit: configuration, certificate and licence inventories generated from the devices, not from spreadsheets.
